Void Predator
A creature adapted to derelicts, hulls, and hard vacuum weirdness.
Threat File — Void Predator
TR 7 · Beasts & Death World HorrorsSaves: Agility +6, Toughness +7
Proficiencies: Stealth +7 (in vacuum or unpressurized spaces)
Senses: Heat-Sense: tracks warmth through bulkheads within 30 feet, Sees normally in total darkness
Void-Born. The void predator needs no air and is immune to vacuum, cold, and radiation; the environment that endangers the party is its native ground.
Silent in the Black. In vacuum there is no sound to give it away. It approaches along hull exteriors and unpressurized spaces with Advantage on Stealth checks.
Heat-Sense. The predator tracks warmth through bulkheads within 30 feet. Hiding from it means getting cold, with everything that implies.
Breach Strike. Melee Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 4 rending damage, and the target's void-seal integrity drops one step. In vacuum, a breached seal starts a suffocation countdown.
Hull-Pounce. The predator launches up to 60 feet across open void or along surfaces in zero gravity, then makes one Breach Strike with Advantage against a creature it reaches — crossing gaps the party assumed were moats.
Drag to the Dark. One creature Grappled by the predator or hit by Breach Strike makes a Strength Save DC 14 or is pulled up to 20 feet toward an unpressurized section, where the predator holds the door and lets physics negotiate.
Vent Escape. When the predator is bloodied or takes 15 or more damage from a single attack, it may immediately move up to half its Movement toward an unpressurized space without provoking Reactive Fire.
Morale: Predatory patience: disengages through vacuum sections when wounded — where pursuit is a commitment — and resumes stalking within the hour.
Tactics: Fight it across the pressure line: attack from unpressurized spaces, retreat through them, treat airlocks as its own doors. Suit damage is its true weapon — a breached party fights the clock as much as the beast. Trap it in pressurized, warm, well-lit compartments to strip its advantages one by one.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Its lair aboard the derelict holds the tags and gear of every salvage crew before this one, and its vacuum-stable hide is worth a small fortune to voidship armorers.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Void Predator is a hunter adapted to derelicts, hulls, and hard vacuum — silent in a way nothing that needs air can be, patient in a way nothing warm can afford. It has learned that everything soft eventually comes through an airlock.
Use this enemy in derelict boarding actions and hull-walk scenes where vacuum, silence, and suit integrity are already doing half its work.
High durability, vacuum immunity, zero-gravity agility, hull-stalking stealth, suit-breach attacks, hunts by vibration and heat.
Void-Born. Needs no air and ignores vacuum, cold, and radiation; the environment that endangers the party is its native ground.
Silent in the Black. In vacuum there is no sound to give it away; it approaches along hull exteriors and unpressurized spaces with Advantage on Stealth.
Heat-Sense. Tracks warmth through bulkheads at short range; hiding means getting cold, with everything that implies.
Breach Strike. Claw attack targeting seals and joints: damage plus suit integrity loss; in vacuum, breach means countdown.
Hull-Pounce. Launches across open void or along surfaces in zero gravity, crossing gaps the party assumed were moats.
Drag to the Dark. Pulls a grabbed victim into an unpressurized section and holds the door, letting physics negotiate.
