Twist-Seer
A minor seer who makes the future worse by naming it.
Threat File — Twist-Seer
TR 5 · Chaos God-Aligned CultsSaves: Willpower +6
Senses: Perceives one round into likely futures; it cannot be surprised by anything planned in advance
I Have Seen This. Once per round, the seer forces one enemy to reroll a successful roll, announcing the failure before the dice settle.
Woven Path. Allies within 30 feet act with borrowed foresight: one of them per round may reroll a failed roll.
Fated Elsewhere. Once per scene, the first attack that would reduce the seer to 0 Vitality misses instead; it stepped where it already knew to stand.
Speak the Doom. The seer names one enemy's failure aloud. That target makes a Willpower Save DC 13 or suffers Disadvantage on its next two rolls.
Thread-Cut. A precise psychic sting timed to interrupt. One enemy within 60 feet makes a Willpower Save DC 13 or takes 1d8 psychic damage and loses its reaction until its next turn.
Read Deeper. The seer pushes its sight: its next Speak the Doom this turn targets two enemies, and their saves are made with Disadvantage. If either save is a natural 20, the seer rolls Perils.
Morale: Retreats precisely one round before it would have died — unless the party does something it truly did not foresee.
Tactics: Let the table feel watched: the seer counters plans as they form, taxing every good roll. Its weakness is genuine novelty — improvisation and absurdity beat prophecy. Its escape route is pre-planned; the obvious interdiction is exactly what it foresaw.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Charts of the party's likely futures, annotated in a steady hand; one page ends mid-sentence.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceThe Twist-Seer is a minor diviner who makes the future worse by naming it. Its prophecies are accurate, hostile, and delivered mid-battle in a voice the party will learn to hate.
Use this enemy to attack the party's dice and decisions directly — fated failures, stolen crits, and dread spoken aloud.
Low durability, no meaningful direct damage, strong probability manipulation, ally coordination through foresight, Perils risk when pushed.
