Toxic Traitor Guardsman
A traitor soldier with contaminated ammunition and no urgency.
Threat File — Toxic Traitor Guardsman
TR 3 · Chaos God-Aligned CultsSaves: Toughness +4
Proficiencies: Awareness +4, Fieldcraft +3
Corroded Rounds. A creature hit by the guardsman's ranged attack makes a Toughness Save DC 12 or takes 1d4 toxic damage at the start of its next turn. Every graze is a gift.
Patient as Rot. The guardsman is immune to fear and cannot be Pinned by Suppression while in cover. It simply waits out the noise.
Blighted Lasfire. Ranged Attack: +4 to hit, range 80/240 ft., one target. Hit: 1d8 + 2 energy damage, plus the Corroded Rounds rider.
Unhurried Volley. If the guardsman does not move this turn, it makes a Blighted Lasfire attack with +1 to hit. It has nowhere better to be.
Morale: Does not retreat and does not hurry. It holds its position until destroyed or ordered elsewhere by a preacher.
Tactics: Emplace it in cover on the approaches and let attrition work — each hit the party shrugs off keeps costing them. It lacks the mobility to respond to flanking, which is the party's answer; make them earn the angle through contaminated ground. Pairs miserably well with blight grenadiers.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Contaminated charge packs — worthless as ammunition, damning as evidence of which manufactorum blessed them.
