Markerlight Coordination. The fire warrior's pulse rifle attacks gain +2 to hit against targets illuminated by a markerlight or marker drone.
Pulse Rifle. Ranged Attack: +4 to hit, range 100/300 ft., one target. Hit: 2d6 + 2 energy damage.
Photon Grenade. The fire warrior throws a grenade up to 30 feet. Each creature in a 10-foot radius makes a Toughness Save DC 12 or is Dazed (Disadvantage on attacks) until the end of its next turn.
Combat Blade. Melee Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d4 piercing damage.
Fallback Discipline. When an enemy ends its movement within 10 feet of the fire warrior, it may immediately move up to half its Movement away without provoking Reactive Fire.
Morale: Falls back in good order rather than breaking. Makes Morale checks only when cut off from the cadre with no drone or leader support.
Tactics: Hold range, mass fire on marked targets, refuse melee, and trade ground for better firing lanes.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceThe T'au fire warrior is a disciplined xenos rifleman whose pulse weapon outranges and outhits most Imperial small arms. Alone it is manageable; in a coordinated fire team behind markerlight support it is a firing squad.
Use this enemy when the encounter needs disciplined ranged pressure, long Fire Lanes, and an opponent that trades ground instead of dying in place.
Threat Profile: Medium durability, high coordinated ranged pressure, markerlight accuracy bonuses, weak in melee, disciplined fallback rather than rout.
Bonded Contingent. Gains +1 to Willpower Saves and Morale checks while an allied T'au trooper, drone, or leader is within 30 feet.
Markerlight Coordination. Pulse rifle attacks gain +2 to hit against targets illuminated by a markerlight or marker drone.
Cadre Doctrine. While in cover it does not leave that cover to pursue; it waits for the enemy to become Exposed.
Pulse Volley. Long-range rifle attack that punishes Exposed targets crossing open ground.
Photon Grenade. Blinds and dazes a small zone to cover a withdrawal or break a charge.
Bounding Withdrawal. Falls back half Movement to new cover without provoking Reactive Fire when enemies close.
Morale: Withdraws in good order under fire; makes Morale checks only when cut off from the cadre with no drone or leader support.
Tactics: Hold range and cover, mass fire on whichever target the markerlights pick, and refuse melee entirely. When the party closes, trade ground for new firing lanes rather than standing to fight. Kill their marker support and the whole team gets noticeably worse.
