Tankbusta
A specialist who hates vehicles with admirable focus.
Threat File — Tankbusta
TR 5 · OrksSaves: Toughness +5
Rokkit Fixation. The tankbusta gains +2 to hit against vehicles and walkers. While an enemy vehicle is on the field, it attacks nothing else unless it first passes a Willpower check DC 12.
Blast-Proof-Ish. The tankbusta takes half damage from explosions, including its own, which is load-bearing.
Rokkit Launcha. Ranged Attack: +5 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 3d8 + 3 fire damage. A vehicle crew hit by this attack makes a Willpower Save DC 13 or is Suppressed until the start of the tankbusta's next turn.
Bomb Squig Release. A squig with explosives strapped to it scuttles up to 40 feet toward the nearest vehicle, or the nearest creature if no vehicle presents itself, and detonates: each creature within 10 feet makes an Agility Save DC 13, taking 3d6 fire damage on a failure or half on a success. It navigates poorly and enthusiastically.
Tankhammer Charge. Melee Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 4d8 + 3 fire damage, and the tankbusta takes half the damage dealt. A rocket on a stick; dignity not included.
Morale: Breaks with the mob, unless a vehicle is still alive, in which case it genuinely forgets to flee.
Tactics: Hold tankbustas off-map until armor appears, then commit them in a whooping rush of rockets and squigs. Their fixation is real counterplay — a decoy vehicle drags them out of position every time.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Its satchel of rokkits and tank-kill glyph tally are usable ordnance, if the party trusts fuses set by an enthusiast.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceThe tankbusta is an ork specialist whose love of vehicles is expressed exclusively through rokkits. It hunts armor with monomaniacal focus and genuinely does not register infantry as targets while an engine is running anywhere.
Use this enemy the moment the party gets a vehicle, borrows a vehicle, or stands near something with treads they were hoping to keep.
Threat Profile: Medium durability, high anti-armor burst damage, self-endangering explosive enthusiasm, target fixation the party can exploit, mob-dependent morale.
Tank Hunter. Gains +2 to hit against vehicles, walkers, and anything armored enough to flatter it.
Rokkit Fixation. While an enemy vehicle is on the field, the tankbusta attacks nothing else without a Willpower check.
Blast-Proof-Ish. Halves damage from explosions, including its own, which is load-bearing.
Rokkit Launcha. Anti-armor rocket; against vehicles a hit also forces a crew-shaken check.
Tankhammer Charge. Suicide-adjacent melee attack with a rocket on a stick; enormous damage, dignity not included.
Bomb Squig Release. Sends an explosive-laden squig scuttling at the nearest vehicle; it navigates poorly and enthusiastically.
Morale: Breaks with the mob, unless a vehicle is still alive, in which case it genuinely forgets to flee.
Tactics: Hold tankbustas off-map until armor appears, then commit them in a whooping rush of rockets and squigs. Their fixation is real counterplay — a sacrificial or decoy vehicle will drag them out of position every time. Around infantry-only parties they are merely dangerous litter.
