Senses: Smells blood within 120 feet; tracks the wounded by scent alone

// Traits

All Mouth. The squig's bite is disproportionate to its body; treat the jaws as the whole animal, because they are. Called shots against anything other than the mouth are largely academic.

Erratic Bounce. The squig moves in hops that ignore difficult terrain. Reactive Fire against it suffers Disadvantage.

// Actions

Bite. Melee Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d6 + 2 piercing damage. On a critical hit the squig latches on, automatically dealing 1d6 piercing damage at the start of each of its turns until removed with a Strength check DC 12. It has Advantage on this attack against Prone, Bleeding, or downed targets.

Morale: Does not make Morale checks in any meaningful sense; it flees pain briefly and returns for the smell of blood, unless eaten by a bigger squig.

Tactics: Scatter squigs through ork terrain as a persistent tax on carelessness — kennels, tunnels, dropped rations. In combat, release several at once at the party's legs while the boyz close; they attack the nearest warm thing.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Squig meat is a staple of ork cuisine and, properly cooked, edible by desperate humans; the teeth are literal currency.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A squig is the ork ecosystem's general-purpose organism: a fanged sphere of appetite with legs, bred into a hundred uses and dangerous in all of them. The common war-squig is a bite radius that hops.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy as ambient ork-territory hazard, kennel defense, or cheap melee harassment released ahead of a mob.

// Threat Profile

Threat Profile: Low durability, surprising bite damage, erratic movement, no tactics whatsoever, dangerous in numbers and confined spaces.

// Signature Traits

All Mouth. Its bite is disproportionate to its body; treat the jaws as the whole animal, because they are.

Erratic Bounce. Moves in hops that ignore difficult terrain and defy Reactive Fire timing; Reactive Fire against it suffers Disadvantage.

// Signature Actions

Bite. Melee attack; on a critical hit it latches on and continues biting each round until removed.

Feeding Frenzy. Gains Advantage on attacks against prone, bleeding, or downed targets.

Morale: No morale to speak of; it flees pain briefly and returns for the smell of blood, unless eaten by a bigger squig.

Tactics: Scatter squigs through ork terrain as a persistent tax on carelessness — kennels, tunnels, dropped rations. In combat, release several at once at the party's legs while the boyz close. They attack the nearest warm thing, and orks find this reliable enough.
