Threat File — Soulfire Marine
TR 10 · Traitor AstartesSaves: Toughness +8, Willpower +7
Flames That Choose. The soulfire marine's warpflame ignores cover entirely; the fire bends around obstacles to find the marked.
Burning Doubt. A creature damaged by the marine's flame has Disadvantage on its next Willpower Save.
Ensorcelled Plate. Whenever the soulfire marine takes damage, reduce that damage by 3 (minimum 1). It has Advantage on saves against psychic effects.
Warpflame Gout. The marine projects a 20-foot cone of sorcerous fire. Creatures in the cone make an Agility Save DC 15, taking 3d8 fire damage and suffering Corruption exposure on a failure, or half damage on a success.
Pyric Bloom. The marine hurls a flame-seed to a point within 60 feet; it blossoms into a 10-foot zone of lingering warpfire until the end of the scene. A creature that enters the zone or ends its turn there takes 2d6 fire damage.
Cauterize the Retreat. The marine lays a 30-foot line of warpflame across a fallback route. A creature crossing the line takes 2d6 fire damage and makes a Willpower Save DC 15 or becomes Frightened until the end of its next turn.
Flame Finds the Runner. When an enemy within 30 feet leaves cover or disengages, the marine may spit a lash of warpflame: that creature makes an Agility Save DC 15 or takes 2d6 fire damage.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks if dust-bound; if living, it withdraws only when its sorcerer's design says the burning is complete.
Tactics: Use it to make the party's cover irrelevant and their formation a liability. It herds more than it kills — driving characters out of safe positions into Rubric fire lanes. The lingering zones should reshape the map round by round.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The warpflamer's fuel is not fuel; the flask's contents are a bound thing that resents decanting and delights collectors.

Use this enemy to punish clustered formations and cover-huggers, and to introduce fire the party cannot treat as a normal hazard.
