Skull-Taker Aspirant
An aspiring butcher whose trophies are also morale weapons.
Threat File — Skull-Taker Aspirant
TR 6 · Chaos God-Aligned CultsSaves: Toughness +6, Willpower +5
Proficiencies: Athletics +6, Intimidation +5
Trophy Rack. Enemies within 15 feet of the aspirant suffer -1 to saves against fear. The skulls are recent, and some are recognizable.
Khorne's Regard. Each kill the aspirant makes this scene grants it a cumulative +1 damage on its melee attacks. The Blood God is watching for a reason to elevate it.
Worthy Skulls Only. The aspirant always attacks the most dangerous enemy it can see. It cannot be baited, taunted, or drawn off by rabble, servants, or lesser threats.
Decapitating Arc. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 4 slashing damage. If this reduces a creature to 0 Vitality, each enemy that can see the kill makes a Willpower Save DC 13 or is Frightened until the end of its next turn.
Claim the Strongest. The aspirant moves up to twice its Movement toward the most dangerous enemy it can see, ignoring all other enemies and all Reactive Fire on the way, then makes a Decapitating Arc attack.
Offering Roar. The aspirant opens its own veins as tribute, taking 5 damage that cannot be reduced. Until the start of its next turn it has Advantage on every attack roll.
Morale: Fights to the death without exception. Retreat would end its ascension more surely than dying.
Tactics: Aim it at the party's strongest member and let nothing divert it — that single-mindedness is both its terror and its handle. Smart parties will use the tank as a lure while others flank; let them, and make the price of the lure real. If it drops the party's champion, its next kill is easier and the whole cult knows it.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The trophy rack itself; some skulls are recognizable, and returning them to the families or regiments they came from buys real goodwill.
