// Traits

Two Things in One Skin. The possessed marine has Advantage on saves against psychic control, and possession attempts against it fail automatically.

Shifting Anatomy. At the start of each of its turns, the possessed marine gains one random minor benefit until its next turn: reach 10 feet, +10 feet Movement, +1 Defense, or one extra Warp-Grown Weapons attack.

Contaminating Presence. A creature that ends its turn adjacent to the possessed marine makes a Willpower Save DC 15 or suffers Corruption exposure.

// Actions

Warp-Grown Weapons. Melee Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 5 slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning damage as its limbs reshape. On a critical hit, the target is Frightened until the end of its next turn.

Unhinged Lunge. The possessed marine moves its full Movement through difficult terrain without penalty and makes one Warp-Grown Weapons attack. On a hit, the target makes an Agility Save DC 15 or is knocked Prone.

The Daemon Speaks. The daemon screams through the marine's ruined vox. Enemies within 15 feet make a Willpower Save DC 15 or become Suppressed until the end of their next turn.

Morale: Does not flee; if the marine's body dies, the daemon attempts one final act of spite before banishment.

Tactics: It is the thing that comes over the barricade while the bolters keep heads down: it goes where the fighting is thickest and gets worse the longer it lives. Its silhouette should never be the same twice.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Its warped ceramite is saturated with daemonic residue, worthless as armor and priceless as evidence of which warband did this.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A Possessed Marine is a traitor Astartes wearing a daemon from the inside, its body renegotiated into blades, maws, and joints that bend wrong. It is what happens when the warband stops pretending the armor is the frightening part.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy when a traitor squad needs a horror element, or when the party must learn that some enemies are both a firefight and a contamination event.

// Threat Profile

High durability, savage melee, fear pressure, Corruption exposure in close quarters, unpredictable mutations, partially resistant to mundane harm.

// Signature Traits

Two Things in One Skin. Advantage on saves against psychic control; possession attempts against it fail automatically.

Shifting Anatomy. At the start of each of its turns, gains a random minor benefit: reach, speed, armor, or an extra claw.

Contaminating Presence. Creatures that end their turn adjacent to it risk Corruption exposure.

// Signature Actions

Warp-Grown Weapons. Melee attack whose damage type changes with its mutations; critical hits cause fear.

Unhinged Lunge. Moves its full speed through difficult terrain and attacks; the target must save or be knocked prone.

The Daemon Speaks. Screams through the marine's ruined vox; enemies in 15 feet make a Willpower Save or are Shaken.

Morale: Does not flee; if the marine's body dies, the daemon may attempt one final act of spite or a possession lunge before banishment.

Tactics: Use it as the thing that comes over the barricade while the bolters keep heads down. It goes where the fighting is thickest and gets worse the longer it lives. Play up the wrongness — its silhouette should never be the same twice.
