Threat File — Plague Surgeon
TR 10 · Traitor AstartesSaves: Toughness +9, Willpower +7
Proficiencies: Medicae +8, Lore +6
Disgustingly Resilient. Whenever the plague surgeon takes damage, reduce that damage by 3 (minimum 1). He is immune to poison and disease.
Balms of the Fly-Lord. Once per round, when an allied Nurgle unit within 30 feet takes damage, the surgeon may reduce that damage by 5 or remove one condition from that ally.
Anti-Vitae. Enemies within 15 feet of the surgeon cannot regain Vitality from healing, stimms, or medicae actions.
Narthecium of Rust. Melee Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 4 piercing damage, and the target makes a Toughness Save DC 15 or contracts a virulent sickness: 1d4 poison damage at the start of each of its turns until it succeeds a Toughness Save DC 15.
Harvest Sample. The surgeon makes a Narthecium of Rust attack with Advantage against a bloodied or downed enemy. On a hit, he extracts something, and the target's next save is made at Disadvantage.
Triage of Rot. One bloodied Nurgle ally within the surgeon's reach regains 15 Vitality.
Professional Interest. When a creature within 30 feet drops to 0 Vitality, the surgeon may move up to half his speed toward it.
Morale: Withdraws calmly with his samples when the warband's line breaks; the specimens matter more than the battle.
Tactics: Keep him one rank behind the plague marines, undoing the party's damage math every round. He drifts toward downed and bloodied characters with professional interest — use that to create horror and urgency. Killing him should measurably soften the whole force.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: His sample cases hold cultured strains and tissue from named victims — evidence, cure-stock, and Inquisitorial leverage in one horrible satchel.
