Plague Drone-Type
A flying plague cavalry horror.
Threat File — Plague Drone-Type
TR 9 · Daemons & Warp EntitiesSaves: Toughness +8
Daemonic Nature. Does not make Morale checks and is immune to fear, Suppression, poison, and disease. At 0 Vitality it is banished, and the fly falls somewhere inconvenient.
Carrion Wings. The drone's flight ignores terrain, elevation, and ground hazards, and each zone it passes over becomes fouled, difficult ground.
Disgustingly Resilient. The drone reduces all incoming damage by 2.
Deathshead Delivery. The drone drops a virulent payload on a point within 60 feet below it. Creatures within 10 feet of the point make a Toughness Save DC 15, taking 3d6 toxic damage and sickening on a failure, or half damage on a success.
Plaguesword From Above. The drone dives on a target. Melee Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 4 slashing damage, and the target makes a Toughness Save DC 15 or is knocked Prone under the fly's bulk.
Proboscis Snatch. The fly grabs at one creature within reach, which makes a Strength Save DC 15 or is lifted 10 feet and dropped where the rider prefers, taking 1d6 bludgeoning damage and falling Prone.
Sluggish Swat. When a creature hits the drone with a melee attack, the fly swats back. Melee Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d8 + 4 bludgeoning damage.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks (daemonic nature). It circles, drips, and descends per the tally's needs, utterly indifferent to ground fire.
Tactics: Keep it above the fight seeding contamination on the party's cover and fallback lines, and dive only on isolated or wounded targets — it turns high ground into a trap. Massed Reactive Fire is its real threat; make it respect prepared lanes and punish everything else.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The downed fly's gut-sacs hold a live culture of whatever plague the campaign is tracking — priceless to a Biologis magos, lethal to whoever carries it wrong.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Plague Drone-Type is flying plague cavalry — a plaguebearer astride a rot fly the size of a groundcar, dripping contagion over whatever the ground forces cannot reach. It brings Nurgle's patience to the third dimension.
Use this enemy to deny the party their high ground, backline, and extraction routes — attrition that ignores the front line entirely.
High durability, flight, disease-laden attacks from above, terrain contamination on the move, dreadful buzzing approach, immune to morale and Suppression, banished rather than killed.
