// Traits

Announced by Scent. The killer's perfume precedes it. An enemy that fails an Awareness check DC 15 attributes the killer's first attack to the wrong direction and cannot locate it until the killer attacks again.

Connoisseur's Toxins. Its poisons are bespoke. A creature hit by its blades makes a Toughness Save DC 14 or suffers the toxin the killer chose for it: a paralytic (Pinned until the end of its next turn), a euphoric (Disadvantage on its next two rolls), or a slow cruelty (Bleeding).

Never Uninvited. The killer passes social checkpoints, guest lists, and locked doors with unsettling reliability; it was always going to be inside.

// Actions

First Kiss. Melee Attack: +7 to hit with Advantage when attacking from hiding, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 4 piercing damage plus its toxin; against a surprised target the damage dice are doubled.

Veil of Scent. The killer breaks line of sight in a bloom of perfume and moves up to its Movement without provoking Reactive Fire.

Parting Gift. On disengaging, the killer leaves a poisoned token, wound, or whisper: one enemy it touched or spoke to this scene takes 1d6 toxic damage at the start of each of its next three turns.

// Reactions

Smoke and Silk. When an attack misses the killer, it may move 10 feet without provoking Reactive Fire, trailing perfume.

Morale: Never fights fair and never fights cornered — it always keeps one exit, one hostage, or one secret in reserve, and uses them in that order.

Tactics: Introduce it socially before it strikes; the ambush should recontextualize a scene the party thought was safe. In open combat it hunts the softest high-value target, strikes once, and vanishes to reset. It loses to preparation and paranoia — reward the player who checked the guest list.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: A vial case of bespoke toxins, each labeled with a name; one of the names is still alive.

GM Reference

The Perfumed Killer is a beautiful disaster with poisoned blades and no conscience — a society assassin whose victims often die smiling in rooms that smell wonderful. It is what the Slaaneshi cult sends when it wants a death to be admired.
