Ork Battlewagon
A rolling scrap fortress full of shouting.
Threat File — Ork Battlewagon
TR 12 · OrksSaves: Toughness +11
Ramshackle Fortress. The battlewagon ignores any single hit that deals 7 or less damage. Damage results tend to remove guns and plates before mobility; the GM may narrate a mount or plate lost per 40 Vitality gone.
Packed Wiv Boyz. The wagon carries a full ork mob that fires from the deck and disembarks charging. If the wagon is destroyed while loaded, the mob spills out Prone and the explosion is worth describing.
Deff Rolla Bow. The wagon's ram treats infantry, barricades, and light vehicles as road surface; it does not slow when it hits them.
Ramming Speed. The wagon moves up to its full Movement in a straight line. Each creature in its path makes an Agility Save DC 15 or takes 4d10 + 7 bludgeoning damage and is knocked Prone; barricades and light cover in the path are destroyed and redistributed.
Broadside of Everything (Multiattack). Every gun mount fires at once. The wagon makes three Big Shoota attacks against one or more targets in a wide arc. Ranged Attack: +8 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target each. Hit: 2d6 + 2 ballistic damage. Each creature within 10 feet of any target makes a Willpower Save DC 14 or is Suppressed until the start of the wagon's next turn.
Disembark Screaming. The carried mob pours off the deck as a single charging wave, mid-move if necessary, and acts immediately on the mob's own initiative.
Deck Fire. While carrying passengers, the wagon's mob makes Reactive Fire against the first creature that crosses the wagon's path or closes within 30 feet each round.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks; the driver stops for nothing, and the wagon retreats only if the boss aboard orders it, which has never yet occurred.
Tactics: Open the encounter with the wagon inbound and make its arrival vector the whole tactical question. The party must immobilize it before it delivers, or fight the mob at arm's length with a gun-fortress parked overhead. Killing it loaded is the jackpot — say so with the explosion.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: A captured battlewagon is a working heavy transport; the party keeping it will be mistaken for orks at range, which is either a problem or a plan.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceThe battlewagon is a rolling scrap fortress: armor plates over an engine over a suspension of pure optimism, packed with orks and guns in load-bearing quantities. It is transport, gun platform, and battering ram, usually simultaneously.
Use this threat to deliver a mob into the party's lap at speed, or as a mobile strongpoint the encounter revolves around stopping.
Threat Profile: Heavy vehicle durability, ramming damage, multiple crude gun mounts, mob transport, weak to anti-armor and immobilization, catastrophic when it dies full.
Ramshackle Fortress. Ignores any single hit below a damage threshold; damage results tend to remove guns and plates before mobility.
Packed Wiv Boyz. Carries a full mob that fires from the deck and disembarks charging.
Deff Rolla Bow. Its ram treats infantry, barricades, and light vehicles as road surface.
Ramming Speed. Charges through a position; everything in its path saves or is crushed, and cover is redistributed.
Broadside of Everything. All gun mounts fire at once across a wide arc, more Suppression than marksmanship.
Disembark Screaming. The mob pours off the deck as a single charging wave, mid-move if necessary.
Morale: No Morale as such; the driver stops for nothing, and the wagon retreats only if the boss aboard orders it, which has never yet occurred.
Tactics: Open the encounter with the wagon inbound and make its arrival vector the whole tactical question. The party must immobilize it before it delivers, or fight the mob at arm's length with a gun-fortress parked overhead. Killing it loaded is the jackpot — say so with the explosion.
