Saves: Toughness +8

// Traits

Mountain of Gift. The brute has Resistance to toxic and ballistic damage and ignores being bloodied entirely.

Miasmic Bulk. An enemy that starts its turn within 10 feet of the brute makes a Toughness Save DC 13 or takes 1d6 toxic damage. The air around it is an attack.

Generous to the End. When the brute dies, it bursts. Every creature within 15 feet makes a Toughness Save DC 13, taking 2d6 toxic damage and contracting a disease of the GM's choice on a failure, or half the damage and no disease on a success.

// Actions

Crushing Embrace. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 5 bludgeoning damage and the target is Grappled (escape DC 14). At the start of each of the brute's turns, a grappled victim takes 2d6 bludgeoning damage and makes a Toughness Save DC 13 or takes 1d6 toxic damage from what it is forced to breathe.

Sloughing Swat. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 5 bludgeoning damage, the target is flung 10 feet and makes an Agility Save DC 13 or falls Prone. The square where it lands is contaminated for the scene: a creature ending its turn there makes a Toughness Save DC 13 or takes 1d4 toxic damage.

Morale: Does not make Morale checks. It walks forward until destroyed, and its destruction is the final attack.

Tactics: It cannot catch anyone, so make the map catch them for it — corridors, objectives, and timers that force proximity. The party's dilemma is the death burst: kill it near their position and suffer, or spend the whole fight retreating from a walking area-denial. Melee parties hate it, correctly.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Nothing recoverable from the bulk itself, but the tumor-brands across its back record which garden grew it.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

The Nurgle Mutant Brute is a bloated horror that refuses to die politely — a mutant swollen with the Plague God's generosity until frame and disease are indistinguishable. Everything about killing it is a trap.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy as Nurgle's heavy assault: a slow, unstoppable mass whose destruction is itself a hazard.

// Threat Profile

Extreme durability for its TR, slow crushing melee, toxic aura, death burst, immune to morale, poison, and discouragement.

// Signature Traits

Mountain of Gift. Grotesque Vitality, resistance to poison and ballistic damage, ignores being bloodied entirely.

Miasmic Bulk. Enemies within 10 feet risk poison damage at the start of their turn; the air around it is an attack.

Generous to the End. On death, bursts: everything within 15 feet saves against poison damage and disease exposure.

// Signature Actions

Crushing Embrace. Grapples and squeezes one target; the held victim takes automatic damage and breathes what it exhales.

Sloughing Swat. Wide melee blow that flings the target back and leaves contamination where they land.

Morale: No morale; walks forward until destroyed, and its destruction is the final attack.

Tactics: It cannot catch anyone, so make the map catch them for it — corridors, objectives, and timers that force proximity. The party's dilemma is the death burst: kill it near their position and suffer, or spend the whole fight retreating from a walking area-denial. Melee parties hate it, correctly.
