Saves: Toughness +6, Willpower +6

// Traits

Cacophony. The noise marine's sonic attacks treat Light Cover as no cover; the walls carry the sound.

Deadened to All But the Music. The noise marine is immune to fear, to Suppression, and to Disadvantage from noise or distraction.

Crescendo Junkie. Each consecutive round the noise marine attacks the same target, his sonic damage against it increases by 2 (cumulative) as he finds its resonant frequency; the bonus resets if he switches targets.

// Actions

Sonic Blaster. Ranged Attack: +7 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 3 sonic damage, and the target makes a Willpower Save DC 15 or has Disadvantage on its next attack roll, shaking with pain.

Sustained Chord. The noise marine suppresses a 10-foot zone within 60 feet with unbearable noise until the start of his next turn. Creatures in the zone, or entering it, make a Willpower Save DC 15 or become Pinned.

Feedback Spike. The noise marine unleashes a point-blank shriek: every adjacent creature takes 2d6 sonic damage and makes a Toughness Save DC 15 or is deafened and Exposed until the start of its next turn.

// Reactions

Answer the Heckler. When a creature within 30 feet hits the noise marine with an attack, he may shriek back: that creature makes a Willpower Save DC 15 or takes 1d8 sonic damage.

Morale: Fights while the music is good; withdraws with theatrical disappointment if the battle turns dull or one-sided against him.

Tactics: Position him where architecture amplifies him — corridors, hangars, cathedrals. He punishes the party for grouping and for hiding equally, which is a nasty combination. He favors targets who scream well, and he will tell them so.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The sonic blaster is grafted to its owner and screams when separated; collectors of forbidden instruments pay in ways worse than money.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A Noise Marine is a sonic weapon specialist who turned volume into injury and worship into feedback. His guns play the only song he can still hear, and the party is the audience.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy when you want ranged pressure that ignores the usual defenses — sound does not care which side of the barricade you crouch on.

High durability, sonic ranged attacks that degrade cover's value, suppression through pain, morale pressure, dangerous in enclosed acoustics.
