Necron Warrior
A basic machine-dead infantry threat that refuses finality.

TR 5 · NecronsSaves: Toughness +6
Senses: Sees normally in total darkness
Reanimation Protocols. When the necron warrior is reduced to 0 Vitality, it collapses instead of dying. At the start of its next turn, roll 1d6: on a 5–6 it reassembles with 10 Vitality; otherwise it phases out to the tomb. Disintegration, total destruction of the body, or an action spent smashing the wreckage prevents the roll.
Machine-Dead. Immune to poison, disease, and fear. It does not tire, breathe, or panic.
Gauss Flayer. Ranged Attack: +5 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 1d10 + 2 energy damage. On a critical hit, the beam strips the target's protection: the target loses 1 Defense until its armor is repaired.
Flayer Bayonet. Melee Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d8 + 2 slashing damage.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks; machine mind. If the tomb's command protocols judge the engagement wasteful, the unit phases out — repositioning, not fear.
Tactics: Advance in silent ranks, fire methodically, ignore casualties, and let reanimation grind the enemy's confidence down.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Necron Warrior is the walking dead of a machine dynasty: a mind ground down to obedience inside a metal body that repairs its own death. It advances at the same speed whether it is winning or being annihilated.
Use this enemy when the party should feel that attrition is on the enemy's side — every kill provisional, every rank silent, every step forward inevitable.
High durability for a line trooper, armor-stripping gauss fire, reanimation economy, total morale immunity, slow and methodical.
Reanimation Protocols. Reduced to 0 Vitality, it collapses instead of dying; unless the wreckage is destroyed or smashed, it may reassemble a round later.
Machine-Dead. Immune to fear, poison, disease, and Morale; it does not tire, hesitate, or care.
Gauss Flayer. Ranged beam that flays matter in layers; critical hits strip Defense from armor until repaired.
Silent Advance. Moves and fires with mechanical discipline, holding formation regardless of casualties.
Morale: None. If command protocols judge the fight wasteful, the unit phases out — a logistics decision, not a retreat.
Tactics: Advance in ranks, focus fire methodically, and let the party learn that dropping a warrior is not the same as removing it. Force the choice: spend actions destroying wreckage, or watch the dead stand back up behind you. The horror is bookkeeping — theirs is better than yours.
