Senses: Sees normally in total darkness; its sensor lattice cannot be blinded by smoke or flare
Living Metal. At the start of each of its turns, the barge repairs 10 Vitality. Any single ballistic or las attack that deals 12 or less damage is shrugged off entirely; wounds must be delivered faster than they close.
No One Aboard That Matters. The barge does not make Morale checks; its riders reanimate and the platform serves a protocol older than the party's species. It is immune to fear and Suppression.
Phase Contingency. When reduced below 30 Vitality, the barge may phase out entirely at the end of its turn, returning repaired in a later encounter. Only destroying it before that threshold, or in a single burst past it, keeps it gone.
Arc Whip. Lightning arcs from the barge to one target within 60 feet, then chains to up to three creatures within 15 feet of each other. Each makes an Agility Save DC 16, taking 3d8 + 4 energy damage and becoming Suppressed on a failure, or half damage on a success.
Gauss Flay. Ranged Attack: +8 to hit, range 120/360 ft., one target. Hit: 4d10 + 5 energy damage. Cover struck by this attack is stripped a layer at a time: Heavy Cover becomes Light, Light Cover is destroyed. Against vehicles it ignores armor plating traits.
Ceremonial Advance. The barge moves up to its Movement through the party's line without haste. Fallen necron infantry within 15 feet of its path make their reanimation checks with Advantage this round.
Protocol Retaliation. When the barge takes 20 or more damage from a single attack, its lattice answers: one Arc Whip strike (single target only) against the attacker.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks. It executes protocol until destroyed, phased out, or recalled by whatever wears the crown.
Tactics: Move it slowly and let the dread be the speed. Its escort dies and stands back up in its shadow while the barge unpicks the party's cover. Beat it with focused anti-armor bursts that outpace the self-repair, or with objectives: the tomb node it serves matters more than the platform.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: If it fails to phase out, the wreck is a reliquary of living metal and impossible power cells, and the tomb it served now knows exactly who to blame.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Necron Barge-Type is an ancient anti-gravity platform mounting weapons that disassemble matter with clerical indifference. It advances at ceremonial pace because nothing it approaches has ever mattered enough to hurry for.
Use this vehicle when the party should learn what Necron escalation feels like: a slow, certain platform their weapons barely inconvenience.
Threat Profile: Heavy living-metal armor with self-repair, arcing anti-infantry lightning or heavy gauss fire, slow deliberate movement, no crew morale, may phase out rather than die, requires anti-armor answers or objective play.
Living Metal. Repairs a small amount of damage at the start of each of its rounds; wounds must be delivered faster than they close.
No One Aboard That Matters. No morale; its riders reanimate, and the platform serves a protocol older than the party's species.
Phase Contingency. Below critical damage it may phase out entirely, returning repaired in a later encounter.
Arc Whip. Lightning arcs across multiple infantry targets; failed saves damage and Suppress everything in the chain.
Gauss Flay. Heavy attack that strips vehicles and cover a layer at a time; nothing hides behind the same wall twice.
Ceremonial Advance. Moves through the party's line without haste; its escort reanimates in its shadow.
Morale: None. It executes protocol until destroyed, phased out, or recalled by whatever wears the crown.
