Mutant Underhive Brute
A physically dangerous underhive mutant.
Threat File — Mutant Underhive Brute
TR 4 · Renegade Imperials and Imperial AdversariesSaves: Toughness +5, Strength +6
Warped Frame. Mutation plates the vitals; the brute reduces all incoming damage by 2.
Pain-Blind. The brute ignores the first Pinned or Frightened condition inflicted on it each scene.
Slab Fist. Melee Attack: +5 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 4 bludgeoning damage. On a critical hit, the target is knocked Exposed.
Hurl Wreckage. The brute throws terrain or a smaller creature at a 10-foot zone within 30 feet. Creatures in the zone make an Agility Save DC 12, taking 2d6 bludgeoning damage on a failure or half on a success.
Bull Through. The brute charges in a straight line up to its Movement, smashing Light Cover in its path. Each creature in the line makes a Strength or Agility Save DC 12 or is shoved 5 feet aside and knocked Prone.
Morale: Fights while its handler shouts encouragement. If leaderless, flip a coin each round: it flees, or it rampages at the nearest living thing.
Tactics: Anchor it in a corridor where its reach matters and let lighter enemies work around it. It should absorb an embarrassing amount of fire and punish anyone who gets greedy in melee. Killing the handler makes it a different kind of problem, not a solved one.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Chem-injector scars and a handler's control chit; the brute's brand marks which gang paid for it.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Mutant Underhive Brute is a body warped by the hive's chemistry into muscle, plate, and pain tolerance far past baseline human. Feared, exploited, and usually pointed at problems by someone smarter.
Use this enemy as gang muscle, cult shock troops, or a chokepoint problem the party cannot simply shoot once and step over.
