Murder-Servitor
A close-range servitor modified for quiet killing.
Threat File — Murder-Servitor
TR 5 · Machines, Servitors & AutomataProficiencies: Stealth +6
Senses: Sees normally in total darkness
Machine Mind. The murder-servitor does not make Morale checks. It kills without haste or hesitation.
Silenced Chassis. The murder-servitor has Advantage on Stealth checks in industrial noise, active machinery, or darkness. While motionless among machinery it appears inert; spotting it requires an Awareness check DC 15.
Target Ledger. The murder-servitor ignores every creature except its designated victims until it is attacked. Reading its ledger (Tech check DC 14 on its remains) reveals who it was sent to kill.
Injector Blade. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d8 + 3 piercing damage, and the target makes a Toughness Save DC 13 or is Stunned by paralytic toxin until the end of its next turn. The attack has Advantage against creatures unaware of the murder-servitor.
Dead Man's Grip. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: the target is Grappled. Escaping requires a Strength check DC 14; the grip does not loosen even if the murder-servitor is destroyed.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks (machine mind). It completes the kill-order or is destroyed; retreat exists only as a return-to-handler subroutine.
Tactics: Let the party see its work before they see it. It strikes the ledger's target during noise, darkness, or another crisis. Once burned, it is just a mid-weight machine — the horror is the first thirty seconds and the question of who sent it.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Its toxin reservoir and target ledger point straight back to its handler.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Murder-Servitor is a quiet-running chassis modified for close-range assassination — muffled joints, dead-man's grip, injector blades. Someone built this on purpose, and that someone is the real story.
Use this enemy for assassinations, ambushes in machine-dense terrain, and horror beats where the maintenance equipment starts hunting.
Threat Profile: Moderate durability, lethal ambush melee, unsettling stealth for a machine, no morale, collapses in value once detected at range.
Machine Mind. Does not check Morale; kills without haste or hesitation.
Silenced Chassis. Gains Advantage on Stealth in industrial noise, machinery, or darkness.
Target Ledger. Ignores everything except its designated victims until attacked.
Injector Blade. Melee attack with Advantage against unaware targets; hit forces a Toughness Save against paralytic toxin.
Dead Man's Grip. Grapples one target; escaping requires breaking the limb or the servitor.
Cold Patience. Holds motionless among machinery; spotting it while dormant requires a hard Awareness check.
Morale: None. Completes the kill-order or is destroyed; retreat exists only as a return-to-handler subroutine.
Tactics: Let the party see its work before they see it. It strikes the ledger's target during noise, darkness, or another crisis, then holds or withdraws by programming. Once burned, it is just a mid-weight machine — the horror is the first thirty seconds and the question of who sent it.
