Sagitaur Quad. The Pioneer's armored quad ignores difficult terrain; rough ground is what the machine was built for. If the quad is destroyed (Defense 13, Vitality 20), the Pioneer fights on foot.
Prospect Scan. The Pioneer marks targets and positions as it rides: all Kin forces gain +1 to hit any target the Pioneer has scanned this scene, and the main Kin force knows exactly where the party is.
Magna-Coil Rifle. Ranged Attack: +6 to hit, range 100/300 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 3 piercing damage. The Pioneer suffers no penalty for firing on the move; it shoots from ranges where reply is optional.
Ride-By Tag. The Pioneer moves up to its full speed, making one Magna-Coil Rifle attack or scanning one target mid-route. This movement does not provoke Reactive Fire.
Seismic Charge Drop. The Pioneer leaves a mine or sensor charge on its path. The first creature to come within 10 feet makes an Agility Save DC 14 or takes 3d6 bludgeoning damage and is knocked Prone; the party's pursuit route is now a decision.
Morale: Pragmatic: disengages the moment the data is worth more than the fight, which is early and often.
Tactics: Pioneers should orbit the encounter, not join it - appearing on flanks, tagging targets, and vanishing behind terrain. Their scans make the eventual main engagement worse for the party, so hunting them has real value and real cost. Catching one is a chase scene; cornering one means finding out what the charges were for.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The quad's survey auspex holds claim-maps and scan logs worth more than the vehicle - to the Kin, and to anyone jumping their claim.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Kin Pioneer-Type is a prospector-outrider on an armored quad, mapping claims, tagging threats, and skirmishing with a magna-coil rifle from ranges the party finds insulting. The scouting report it files is the real weapon.
Use this enemy for fast flanking pressure and the uncomfortable knowledge that the main Kin force now knows exactly where the party is.
Moderate durability, high vehicle speed, hit-and-fade fire, spotting and marking for the main force, pragmatic withdrawal instincts.

Magna-Coil Rifle. Accurate fire on the move; the Pioneer shoots from ranges where reply is optional.
Ride-By Tag. Moves its full speed, scanning or attacking mid-route without stopping in anyone's Fire Lane.
Seismic Charge Drop. Leaves a mine or sensor charge on its path; the party's pursuit route is now a decision.
