// Traits

Grim Efficiency. Once per round (no action required), the Kahl designates a graded target: all Kin attacks against that target gain +1 to hit and +1d6 damage until the start of the Kahl's next turn.

Voice of the Votann. Kin within 30 feet of the Kahl automatically pass Morale checks and cannot be Pinned while the Kahl stands and commands.

// Actions

Volkanite Repeater. Ranged Attack: +9 to hit, range 40/120 ft., one target. Hit: 3d8 + 4 energy damage as the beam unbinds armor, and the target suffers -1 Defense until its armor is repaired. Command rank does not mean unarmed.

Ancestral Judgment. The Kahl orders a coordinated volley: two Kin units within 60 feet immediately make one attack each against the graded target.

Measured Withdrawal. The Kahl orders a fighting retreat: Kin within 60 feet may withdraw up to their speed without provoking Reactive Fire, and Ironkin cover the rear.

// Reactions

Priced Response. When a Kin ally within 30 feet is dropped, the Kahl immediately grades the attacker as its designated target and one Kin unit within 60 feet makes an attack against it. The casualty has been invoiced.

Morale: Perfectly pragmatic: fights while the ledger favors it, withdraws in order when it does not, and returns later with interest and reinforcements.

Tactics: The Kahl fights like an actuary with a gun: grade the party's biggest threat, concentrate the Kindred's fire, and spend nothing it cannot recoup. It stands in the line, not behind it - armored enough to survive its own doctrine. If the party wins, make the withdrawal orderly and the grudge explicit; Kahls are excellent recurring adversaries.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The Ancestor Cores in its armor grade everything they see - including the party, whose exact worth is now on file with the Leagues.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A Kin Kahl-Type Leader is a commander whose authority is arithmetic: every order weighed, every casualty priced, every enemy graded by the Ancestor Cores humming in its armor. It does not gamble; it collects.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy to give a Kin force cold, optimal command — the reason every exchange of fire somehow favored the Kin.

// Threat Profile

High durability, strong personal firepower, elite command actions, target-grading buffs, disciplined force-wide morale, pragmatic withdrawal doctrine.
