Kin Grimnyr-Type Psyker
A psychic support figure using controlled warp-adjacent power.
Threat File — Kin Grimnyr-Type Psyker
TR 9 · Leagues / KinSaves: Willpower +8, Toughness +6
Proficiencies: Lore +7, Awareness +5
Engineered Channeling. The Grimnyr channels the warp through ancestral engineering, not raw talent: its psychic actions never trigger Perils-style backlash or instability under normal use. The Kin bred and built the risk out.
CORV Wardens. Two construct familiars orbit the Grimnyr. Once per round, when the Grimnyr is targeted by an attack or psychic effect, a CORV intercepts and absorbs it instead. Each CORV has Defense 14 and Vitality 15; assassination costs two extra actions.
Ancestral Ward. Kin allies within 30 feet of the Grimnyr gain +2 on saves against psychic effects and fear.
Kinetic Hammerblow. One creature within 60 feet makes a Willpower Save DC 15 or takes 3d10 + 4 psychic damage and is knocked Prone; on a success it takes half damage and keeps its feet. Understated, effective, repeatable.
Barrier Field. The Grimnyr raises a shimmering wall up to 30 feet long and 10 feet high, or a 10-foot dome, within 60 feet: it grants Heavy Cover, blocks movement, and has Vitality 30. The Grimnyr can maintain one barrier at a time.
Grudge-Sight. The Grimnyr reveals all hidden, phased, or disguised creatures within 90 feet until the end of its next turn. The ancestors see everything owed.
Counter-Chant. Once per round, when an enemy uses a psychic action within 60 feet, the Grimnyr contests it: the enemy must beat the Grimnyr in an opposed Willpower check or the action fizzles.
Morale: Calm and deliberate; withdraws under Hearthguard escort when the engagement sours, preserving the ancestral knowledge it carries.
Tactics: The Grimnyr plays defense first: barriers to split the party's forces, wards to blunt their psyker, hammerblows for whoever overcommits. It makes the Kin line durable rather than flashy. Enemy psykers should find it a dedicated, methodical counter - and its CORVs make assassination cost two extra actions.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Its CORV constructs carry centuries of League lore and grudge-ledgers; the staff is engineered psy-tech the Scholastica Psykana would kill to study, and probably will.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Kin Grimnyr-Type Psyker channels the warp through ancestral engineering rather than raw talent — barrier fields, kinetic hammers, and the counsel of two CORV constructs older than most Imperial dynasties. It is what a psyker looks like with the recklessness removed.

Moderate durability, controlled psychic offense, ally shielding, psychic denial, no Perils-style instability under normal operation.
