// Traits

The Ledger. At the start of the encounter, the Champion names one enemy its grudge - whoever hurt the Kin worst, or looks likeliest to. It gains +2 to hit and +1d10 damage against that target. Debts are settled personally.

Ancestral Plate. The Champion reduces all damage it takes by 3, and once per round a critical hit against it becomes a normal hit.

Unmoved. The Champion is immune to fear and cannot be pushed or knocked Prone while conscious.

// Actions

Mass Hammer. The Champion makes two hammer strikes. Melee Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 5 bludgeoning damage, denting armor, cover, and reputations. Against its grudge, each strike scores a critical hit on a 19 or 20.

Challenge of the Kindred. The Champion calls out its grudge: the target makes a Willpower Save DC 15 or suffers Disadvantage on attacks against anyone but the Champion until the end of its next turn.

Ancestor's Rally. Once per scene, the Champion bellows the old names: Kin within 30 feet immediately remove the Pinned condition and gain +1 to their next attack.

// Reactions

Debt Collected. When a creature adjacent to the Champion attacks anyone other than the Champion, the Champion makes one Mass Hammer strike against it.

Morale: Does not retreat from a named grudge while it lives; withdraws afterward only if the votann-math demands, adding interest to the ledger.

Tactics: Point the Champion at the party's anchor - the Astartes-equivalent, the heavy, the melee monster - and let the duel reorganize the battle around it. It should be nearly unkillable in single combat and vulnerable mainly to being ganged, which the Kin line makes expensive. Its death should cost the party the exact resources the encounter was about.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The mass hammer bears a ledger of settled grudges etched down the haft; taking it up means inheriting the unsettled ones.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A Kin Champion is a grudge with a body: a massive Kin in ancestral plate carrying a mass hammer and a ledger of debts it settles personally. It walks toward the worst thing on the field because that is what the entry says.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy when the party's strongest fighter needs an answer — a duelist-brute who picks the biggest threat and makes the fight about that.
