Foetid Terminator
A terminator-class plague anchor.
Threat File — Foetid Terminator
TR 13 · Traitor AstartesSaves: Toughness +11, Willpower +9
Rotted Cataphract Plate. Whenever the foetid terminator takes damage, reduce that damage by 5 (minimum 1). It is immune to poison and disease, and at GM discretion small arms cannot harm it at all.
Miasmic Anchor. The ground within 10 feet of the terminator counts as toxic ground for enemies; a creature that ends its turn there takes 1d6 toxic damage.
Rooted in Decay. The terminator cannot be pushed, knocked Prone, Pinned, or Suppressed by anything short of a war engine.
Bubotic Axe. Melee Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 3d10 + 6 rending damage, the target's armor is degraded (reducing its Defense by 1 until repaired), and the target makes a Toughness Save DC 16 or contracts a festering sickness dealing 1d4 poison damage at the start of each of its turns until it succeeds a Toughness Save DC 16.
Reaper of Flies. The terminator sweeps its axe through every adjacent creature: +10 to hit each. Hit: 2d10 + 6 slashing damage, and the target makes a Toughness Save DC 16 or has Disadvantage on attacks until the end of its next turn, gagging on spore-thick air.
Hold the Ground. The terminator braces on an objective or chokepoint. Until the start of its next turn, attacks against it have Disadvantage.
Toll for Passage. The terminator makes one Bubotic Axe attack against a creature that enters its reach or tries to move past it.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks; it was placed somewhere, and it will be there when everything else is over.
Tactics: Put it on the thing the party needs — the door, the console, the extraction pad — and make them come to it through its miasma. It does not chase; chasing is for the plague marines around it. Its counter is heavy weapons and patience-proof objectives, and it punishes parties who bring neither.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Under the rust, its cataphract plate segments predate the Heresy; Mechanicus magi will trade generously and ask no questions they want answered.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Foetid Terminator is a terminator-class plague anchor: cataphract plate fused to blessed rot, moving at the speed of inevitability. It is the point on the map the party cannot take back.
Use this enemy to hold an objective, seal a breach, or anchor a plague advance the party must break through rather than around.
Extreme durability and armor, damage reduction on top of terminator plate, disease aura, devastating melee, immune to suppression and displacement, very slow.
Rotted Cataphract Plate. Reduces all incoming damage twice over; light weapons cannot harm it at GM discretion.
Miasmic Anchor. Its zone and 10 feet around it count as toxic ground for enemies.
Rooted in Decay. Cannot be moved, knocked prone, Pinned, or Suppressed by anything short of a war engine.
Bubotic Axe. Armor-degrading melee attack inflicting festering sickness.
Reaper of Flies. Sweeping attack against all adjacent creatures; each must save or sicken.
Hold the Ground. Braces on an objective; until its next turn, attacks against it suffer Disadvantage and it strikes reactively at anyone entering reach.
Morale: Does not check morale; it was placed somewhere, and it will be there when everything else is over.
Tactics: Put it on the thing the party needs — the door, the console, the extraction pad — and make them come to it through its miasma. It does not chase; chasing is for the plague marines around it.
