Flesh Hound-Type Hunter
A daemon hunter-beast that pressures psykers and runners.
Threat File — Flesh Hound-Type Hunter
TR 7 · Daemons & Warp EntitiesSaves: Willpower +6
Proficiencies: Athletics +6
Senses: Scents its designated prey across any distance or terrain; hiding requires warding, not cover
Collar of Khorne. The hound has Advantage on saves against psychic effects. A psyker who targets it with a power and fails suffers immediate Perils backlash.
Daemonic Nature. Does not make Morale checks and is immune to fear and Suppression. At 0 Vitality it is banished, not killed.
Scent of Souls. The hound always knows the direction and distance to its designated prey. Cover, darkness, and speed do not break the trail; only warding does.
Rending Bite. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 3 rending damage. The attack is made at Advantage against Prone or fleeing targets.
Loping Pounce. The hound moves up to 50 feet and makes a Rending Bite attack. On a hit, the target makes a Toughness Save DC 13 or is knocked Prone.
Throat-Lock. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one Prone or downed target. Hit: 1d8 + 3 piercing damage and the target is Grappled; the hound drags it up to 20 feet away from its allies.
Run the Runner. When a creature within 30 feet moves away from the hound, it may immediately move up to half its Movement toward that creature.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks (daemonic nature). It breaks pursuit only if its prey dies or its summoner recalls it, and it does not distinguish between the two gladly.
Tactics: Give it one designated prey and play it honestly: it goes through, around, or over everything between it and that character, and the rest of the party becomes obstacles managing a countdown. It punishes psychic self-defense viciously — let the psyker learn that the second time.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Its brass collar survives banishment and deadens psychic powers near it — a relic Inquisitors will kill to hold and heretics will kill to recover.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Flesh Hound-Type Hunter is a daemon beast bred for one purpose: running down the ones who think distance or witchcraft will save them. It exists to make psykers and runners understand they were never safe.
Use this enemy to pressure the party's psyker, courier, or skirmisher — a pursuit predator that punishes exactly the characters used to escaping.
Fast, durable, savage melee, anti-psyker collar, unerring tracking, immune to morale and Suppression, banished rather than killed.
