Proficiencies: Lore +11, Guile +9, Command +8
Ninefold Ward. The first three attacks or hostile effects to reach the sorcerer each scene are absorbed by collapsing ward-layers and have no effect. Describe each layer breaking.
I Have Read This Battle. Once per round, the sorcerer may force one enemy roll to be rerolled as fate is adjusted.
Retinue of Echoes. The sorcerer maintains 1d3 illusory duplicates. An attack that would hit him strikes a duplicate instead until all are gone; a duplicate is destroyed by any hit or disproven with an Awareness check DC 16.
Bolts of Change. The sorcerer makes two ranged psychic attacks: +10 to hit, range 90 ft., one target each. Hit: 2d10 + 5 warp damage. A critical hit twists the target with a minor mutation and Corruption exposure.
Astral Blast. The sorcerer detonates a point within 90 feet. Creatures within 15 feet of it make a Willpower Save DC 16, taking 4d10 warp damage and falling Prone on a failure, or half damage on a success.
Whisper of the Nine Truths. One enemy within 60 feet makes a Willpower Save DC 16 or acts on a lie: the GM chooses one action — moving, holding, or attacking a target — that it takes as the sorcerer intends.
Unwrite Position. When an enemy ends its movement within 10 feet of the sorcerer, or an allied unit within 60 feet is targeted by an attack, he may teleport himself or that ally up to 60 feet, arriving anywhere the plan requires.
Morale: Never breaks; his escapes are pre-planned, staged to look like victories, and always cost the party something on the way out.
Tactics: Run him at one remove: images, pawns, and voices before the real body ever appears. In combat, he spends the early rounds trading ward-layers for information about the party. Give the encounter a scheme-objective — a ritual step, a stolen truth, a swapped artifact — that he can complete even while losing the fight.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: His annotations on the party — habits, oaths, debts — are worth more than his reliquary, and prove that someone paid him for them.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceAn Exalted Sorcerer-Type is a major psychic commander whose defenses are layered nine deep and whose plans were finished before the party arrived. Fighting him is stepping onto a board he has already annotated.
Use this enemy as an arc villain for a Tzeentchian scheme — the mind the party unravels across sessions before they ever trade fire with it.
High durability behind layered wards, devastating psychic offense, battlefield rewriting, misdirection and false images, Corruption pressure, commands Rubricae and daemons alike.
