Saves: Toughness +10, Willpower +7

Senses: Smells blood and fear through walls within 60 feet

// Traits

Eightfold Binding. The butcher reduces all damage from mundane weapons by 5 (minimum 1). Each time it is first reduced below three-quarters, half, and one-quarter Vitality, one binding breaks and its melee attacks deal an additional 1d6 damage (cumulative).

Aura of Slaughter. Enemies that start their turn within 10 feet of the butcher make a Willpower Save DC 17 or become Frightened until the start of their next turn.

Daemon Engine of Meat. The butcher is immune to fear, Suppressed, Pinned, and Morale pressure of any kind.

// Actions

Butcher's Talons. The butcher makes two melee attacks: +10 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target each. Hit: 3d10 + 6 rending damage. A critical hit inflicts Corruption exposure.

Rip the Line. The butcher moves up to its speed through enemy-occupied spaces. It makes one talon attack (+10 to hit, 3d10 + 6 rending damage) against each creature it passes; each creature hit makes a Toughness Save DC 17 or is knocked Prone.

Roar of the Bound. Every enemy within 30 feet makes a Willpower Save DC 17 or becomes Frightened until the end of its next turn.

// Reactions

Broken Seal. The first time each round the butcher takes 20 or more damage from a single attack, it may immediately move up to half its speed toward the attacker.

Morale: No Morale checks; when destroyed, the daemons tear free of the flesh — every creature within 15 feet makes a Toughness Save DC 17, taking 4d6 warp damage on a failure or half on a success.

Tactics: Hold it back, then commit it the moment the party thinks they have the melee handled. Each wound makes it worse, not weaker — telegraph that clearly so the party can choose between burst-killing it and running. It hunts the loudest, bloodiest fight on the field.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The shattered binding-chains are inscribed with eight true names; a sanctioned scholar would pay ruinously for them, and worse things would pay more.

GM Reference

An Eightbound-Style Possessed Butcher is an Astartes frame with too much daemon in it, bound eightfold and straining every seal. It is what a berzerker becomes when the rage stops being metaphorical.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy as a melee mid-boss, a chained weapon the warband releases, or the horror that redefines what the party thinks Khorne fields.

// Threat Profile

Extreme durability, monstrous melee output, fear aura, speed unreasonable for its bulk, Corruption exposure in melee, banishes rather than dying cleanly.

// Signature Traits

Eightfold Binding. Reduces mundane damage; each time it is bloodied or badly wounded, one binding breaks and its melee damage increases.

Aura of Slaughter. Enemies starting their turn within 10 feet make a Willpower Save or are Frightened.

Daemon Engine of Meat. Immune to fear, Suppression, Pinned, and Morale pressure of any kind.

// Signature Actions

Butcher's Talons. Two heavy melee attacks; critical hits inflict Corruption exposure.

Rip the Line. Moves through enemy-occupied spaces, attacking each creature it passes; each must save or be knocked prone.

Roar of the Bound. All enemies within 30 feet make a Morale check; failures are Shaken.

Morale: No morale; when destroyed, the daemons tear free of the flesh in a burst of warp-fury that endangers everyone nearby.

Tactics: Hold it back, then commit it at the moment the party thinks they have the melee handled. Each wound makes it worse, not weaker — telegraph that clearly so the party can choose between burst-killing it and running. It hunts the loudest, bloodiest fight on the field.
