Threat File — Duelist Champion
TR 11 · Traitor AstartesSaves: Agility +9, Willpower +6
Proficiencies: Athletics +8, Awareness +7
Flawless Tempo. The duelist always acts first in a duel: he wins any initiative tie, and enemies adjacent to him cannot make Reactive attacks against him.
Punish Hesitation. The duelist has Advantage on attacks against any target that took no action or moved less than 10 feet last turn.
Aesthete's Contempt. The first attack against the duelist each round from anyone other than his chosen opponent suffers Disadvantage; he barely notices it.
Perfect Thrust. Melee Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 5 piercing damage, plus 2d6 piercing damage if the target is Exposed or Frightened.
Blurred Advance. The duelist moves up to double his speed without provoking Reactive attacks, ending adjacent to his chosen opponent.
The Invitation. The duelist designates one enemy as his opponent. While that enemy avoids engaging him in melee, it has Disadvantage on all actions from the distraction of being stalked.
Contemptuous Parry. Once per round, when his chosen opponent misses him with a melee attack, the duelist may make one Perfect Thrust against them.
Morale: Withdraws with grace when a fight turns graceless; a mob beating is beneath him, and he will leave mid-duel if the party ruins the aesthetics.
Tactics: He picks the most skilled visible fighter and makes the encounter about that duel while his allies handle the rest. He punishes interference stylishly rather than lethally — at first. His flaw is genuine: ganging up on him disgusts him into errors and exits.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: His blade is a masterwork with a signed lineage of previous owners, all of whom it outlived; it is worth a fortune to anyone vain enough to carry it.
