Senses: Perceives machines, power sources, and warp signatures within 120 feet; blindness and darkness are irrelevant

// Traits

Warp-Fused Chassis. Half machine, half invocation: the Adept reduces all incoming ballistic, las, and energy damage by 3, and is immune to toxic damage, disease, and fear.

Master of Bound Engines. Daemon engines and possessed machines within 60 feet act on the Adept's initiative and may reroll one failed save per round.

Furnace of Souls. When a machine or daemon ally within 60 feet is destroyed, the Adept harvests it: it regains 2d10 Vitality or empowers its next action with +1 to hit and one extra damage die.

Sanctified Dread. Enemies that end their turn within 15 feet of the Adept must make a Willpower Save DC 15 or suffer minor Corruption exposure.

// Actions

Daemon-Forged Axe. Melee Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 3d10 + 5 rending damage. On a critical hit, the axe's bound spirit inflicts a warp wound: the target is Bleeding and cannot regain Vitality until the wound is treated with a Lore or Tech check DC 15.

Harness of Serpents. Mechadendrite tendrils strike every enemy within 10 feet. Melee Attack: +7 to hit each target. Hit: 2d8 + 4 piercing damage, and one target hit is dragged adjacent to the Adept.

Unbind Fury. The Adept releases a bound daemon-spirit into one machine, vehicle, or heavy weapon on the field. The device turns hostile to the party until destroyed or exorcised; an operated device's crew may resist with a Willpower Save DC 15.

Rite of Ruin. The Adept advances its lair-scale objective one step: the forge wakes, the engine finishes, the summoning proceeds. If the objective completes, the encounter escalates at GM discretion.

// Reactions

Feed the Work. When a machine or daemon ally within 60 feet is destroyed, the Adept may immediately move half its Movement or make one Harness of Serpents attack.

Morale: Does not make Morale checks; it knows no fear and permits no retreat while its great work is intact. If the work is destroyed, it withdraws into the machinery to rebuild elsewhere.

Tactics: Run this as an objective boss: the Adept anchors a forge or ritual engine the party must reach, screened by daemon engines it feeds into its own power. Direct assault feels like attacking a factory that hates you; the winning play targets the bindings, the anchors, the engine's heart.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The daemon-forged axe (a possession risk masquerading as a trophy) and the great work's schematics, which several powers would burn a hive to own or destroy.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A Dark Mechanicum Warpsmith-Adept is a corrupted machine-priest who binds daemons into engines and flesh into machines with equal contempt. Where a Heretek breaks the Omnissiah's law, the Warpsmith-Adept has replaced it with worse gods.

// Battlefield Use

Use this threat as a campaign-arc boss commanding daemon engines, possessed machinery, and industrial-scale corruption.

// Threat Profile

Very high durability, daemon-engine command, warp-fused weaponry, Corruption saturation, boss-tier decapitation target requiring a plan rather than a firefight.

// Signature Traits

Warp-Fused Chassis. Half machine, half invocation: high Defense, resistances across the board, and wounds that bleed sparks and ichor alike.

Master of Bound Engines. Daemon engines and possessed machines within 60 feet act on its initiative and reroll one failed save per round.

Furnace of Souls. When a machine or daemon ally is destroyed nearby, the Adept harvests it: regain Vitality or empower its next action.

Sanctified Dread. Its presence corrupts: enemies ending their turn within 15 feet risk Corruption exposure.

// Signature Actions

Daemon-Forged Axe. Devastating melee attack; on a critical hit the axe's bound spirit inflicts a lingering warp wound.

Harness of Serpents. Mechadendrite tendrils strike every enemy within 10 feet and can drag one adjacent.

Unbind Fury. Releases a bound daemon-spirit into a machine, vehicle, or heavy weapon on the field, turning it hostile to the party.

Rite of Ruin. Advances a lair-scale objective: the forge wakes, the engine finishes, the summoning proceeds.

Morale: No fear and no retreat while its great work is intact; if the work is destroyed, it withdraws into the machinery to rebuild elsewhere.

Tactics: Run this as an objective boss. The Adept anchors a forge or ritual engine the party must reach, screened by daemon engines and possessed machinery it feeds into its own power. Direct assault should feel like attacking a factory that hates you — the winning play targets the work: the bindings, the anchors, the engine's heart.
