A lesser preacher of ruin who turns fear into obedience.
Threat File — Dark Apostle's Acolyte
TR 5 · Chaos & HereticsSaves: Willpower +7, Toughness +5
Proficiencies: Command +6, Lore +5, Intimidation +6
Litanies of Ruin. Cult and traitor allies within 30 feet gain +1 to Willpower Saves and may reroll one failed Morale check per round.
Armored in Faith. The acolyte wears real armor under the vestments; its Defense includes this, and it has Advantage on saves against being Pinned.
The Apostle's Mark. When the acolyte dies, every cult ally immediately checks Morale, but any daemon present gains +1 to attacks until the end of the scene.
Accursed Crozius. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 3 bludgeoning damage. A bloodied target hit by this attack must make a Willpower Save DC 13 or become Frightened until the end of its next turn.
Sermon of the Knife. One enemy within 60 feet must make a Willpower Save DC 14 or be Frightened until the end of its next turn and unable to benefit from allies' support abilities during it.
Offer Them Up. The acolyte sacrifices a cult ally within reach. The scene's ritual clock advances one step, or one daemonic effect in play is empowered at GM discretion.
Morale: Fights to the death in front of witnesses; withdraws coldly to preserve the mission if unobserved.
Tactics: Run it as a demagogue with teeth: it holds the line's center, trades blows when pressed, and spends bodies like coin to keep rituals moving. It is the local face of an older conspiracy; killing it answers nothing.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: A daemon-etched crozius, sealed orders in a Traitor Astartes cipher, and proof that something far worse sponsored this cell.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Dark Apostle's Acolyte is a lesser preacher of ruin trained by something far worse — a field chaplain of the Dark Gods who converts fear into obedience and casualties into sermons. It is the professional version of the demagogue.
Use this enemy to lead mature cult cells, anchor multi-squad heretic forces, and foreshadow the Traitor Astartes patron behind it.
Moderate durability, competent melee, strong ally morale control, fear pressure, Corruption stakes in anything it touches.

Armored in Faith. Wears real armor under the vestments; better Defense than any cult leader deserves.
The Apostle's Mark. When the acolyte dies, every cult ally checks Morale, but any daemon present is immediately emboldened.
Accursed Crozius. Solid melee attack; a bloodied target hit by it must also save against fear.
Sermon of the Knife. One enemy saves against Willpower or spends its next turn Frightened and unable to benefit from allies' support.
Offer Them Up. Sacrifices a cult ally within reach to advance a ritual clock or empower a daemonic effect.
Morale: Fights to the death in front of witnesses; withdraws coldly to preserve the mission if unobserved.
Tactics: Run it as a demagogue with teeth: it holds the line's center, trades blows when pressed, and spends bodies like coin to keep rituals moving. It should feel like the local face of a much larger, older conspiracy — killing it answers nothing.
