// Traits

Dark Zealotry. Allied cultists and traitors within 60 feet automatically pass Morale checks while the Apostle is conscious and preaching.

The Word Made Ruin. Enemies who can hear the Apostle have Disadvantage on saves against fear and Corruption effects.

// Actions

Accursed Crozius. Melee Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 4 bludgeoning damage. On a critical hit, the target is branded and suffers Corruption exposure.

Sermon of Ruin. All enemies within 60 feet who can hear the Apostle make a Willpower Save DC 16 or become Frightened until the end of their next turn as doubt and dread take hold.

Exhort the Faithful. Two allied units within 60 feet immediately move up to their Movement or make one attack each.

// Reactions

Martyr Logic. When an allied unit is destroyed within 30 feet, another allied unit within 60 feet immediately rallies, ending any Pinned or Frightened condition, or advances up to its Movement.

Morale: Seeks martyrdom only on his own terms; withdraws behind waves of faithful if the sermon can continue elsewhere.

Tactics: Never fielded alone, because his entire threat is the horde around him. Screen him with bodies, keep the sermon rolling every round, and make silencing him the party's obvious but expensive objective; decide in advance whether his death breaks the horde or enrages it.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The accursed crozius and his annotated book of sermons are potent Corruption vectors that Inquisitorial cells pay heavily to see burned, unread.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A Dark Apostle is a traitor Astartes preacher whose sermons are munitions. He does not need to outfight the party; he needs everyone around him to stop being afraid of dying.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy to make cultist and traitor hordes fight like fanatics, or as the voice behind a planetary uprising the party must silence.

// Threat Profile

High durability, moderate melee, extreme morale support for allies, morale and Corruption pressure against enemies, force-multiplier that makes every other enemy worse.
