Senses: Sees normally in total darkness, Perceives the true name of any creature that speaks within 60 feet

// Traits

The Greater Binding. The daemonhost begins with four intact seals and is warded against banishment and command while any remain. Each broken seal (by damage thresholds at 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 Vitality, or by ritual) grants it one major new capability at GM discretion and widens Presence of the Pit by 10 feet.

Presence of the Pit. A creature that starts its turn within 20 feet makes a Willpower Save DC 15 or is Frightened until the end of its turn. Within the aura, ground, light, and sound behave wrongly, and each full scene of exposure inflicts Corruption exposure.

Not Flesh Anymore. The daemonhost reduces all ballistic, las, slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage by 6. Sanctified, psychic, warp, and true-named attacks ignore this reduction. It does not make Morale checks and is immune to fear and Suppression; at 0 Vitality the daemon is banished rather than slain.

// Actions

Word of Unmaking. The daemonhost speaks at one creature it can perceive within 60 feet. The target makes a Toughness Save DC 15 or takes 3d10 + 4 warp damage as something structural in it loosens; armor and cover do not reduce this damage. On a success, it takes half.

Telekinetic Ruin. Ranged Attack: +8 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 5 bludgeoning damage as wreckage, debris, or a person is hurled. If the projectile is a creature, it takes the same damage and lands Prone.

Peel the Veil. The daemonhost tears reality thin in a 20-foot zone within 60 feet until the end of its next turn. Creatures in the zone at any point make a Willpower Save DC 15 or suffer Corruption exposure; psychic powers used in the zone surge, and any Perils result is rolled at Disadvantage (taking the worse outcome).

// Reactions

It Knows the Word Too. When a creature within 60 feet begins a rite, prayer, or command against the daemonhost, it answers in kind: the ritualist makes a Willpower Save DC 15 or takes 2d8 psychic damage and loses the action.

Morale: Does not make Morale checks (daemonic nature). It manages the fight to engineer its own release, and treats the party as either tools for that or delays to it.

Tactics: This is an objective encounter: seals to reinforce or destroy, a true name to recover, handlers to save or stop. It talks throughout — bargaining, revealing secrets, telling the party which of their choices it is grateful for. Straight damage delays it; ending it requires the ritual answer the arc has seeded.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Its seals are relics in their own right — stolen reliquary plate, saint-script, a true name etched in lead — each one a treasure, a bargaining chip, and an Inquisitorial death sentence to possess.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A Major Daemonhost is a bound horror straining the shape of its host — flesh reworked into a vessel that hovers, burns, and speaks with a voice the room is afraid of. Its bindings are stronger than a minor host's, which only means the thing inside is worth binding that hard.

// Battlefield Use

Use this threat as a boss encounter at the heart of a radical conspiracy or a cult's great work, where the fight and the containment failure happen simultaneously.

// Threat Profile

Very high durability, devastating psychic and warp attacks, fear aura, Corruption exposure by proximity, reality distortion, binding-dependent escalation, banished rather than killed.

// Signature Traits

The Greater Binding. Warded against banishment and command; each broken seal grants it a major new capability and widens its aura.

Presence of the Pit. Enemies within 20 feet save against fear each round; the ground, light, and sound nearby behave wrongly.

Not Flesh Anymore. Reduces mundane damage severely; sanctified, psychic, and true-named attacks bypass this.

// Signature Actions

Word of Unmaking. Speaks at one target: save or take warp damage as something structural in them loosens; armor and cover do not help.

Telekinetic Ruin. Hurls debris, wreckage, or a person as a weapon; both projectile and target suffer.

Peel the Veil. Tears a zone of reality thin: within it, psychic powers surge, Perils loom, and Corruption exposure accrues.

Morale: No morale; it manages the fight to engineer its own release, and treats the party as either tools for that or delays to it.

Tactics: This is an objective encounter: seals to reinforce or destroy, a true name to recover, handlers to save or stop. It talks throughout — bargaining, revealing secrets, telling the party which of their choices it is grateful for. Straight damage should be a delaying tactic; ending it should require the ritual answer the arc has seeded.
