Saves: Toughness +10, Willpower +8

Senses: Scents blood: knows the location of every bloodied creature within 120 feet

// Traits

Daemonic Chassis. The engine does not make Morale checks and is immune to fear and Suppression. Any single ballistic or las attack that deals 10 or less damage is shrugged off by its corrupted plate.

Scent of Weakness. Against bloodied targets, the engine gains +10 feet of Movement and +1 to attack rolls. It always knows who is hurt.

Bound in Brass. Reducing the hull to 0 Vitality banishes the daemon violently: creatures within 15 feet make a Toughness Save DC 15 or take 3d6 warp damage. The wreck site suffers Corruption residue at GM discretion.

// Actions

Rending Maw. Melee Attack: +8 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 3d10 + 5 rending damage. Vehicles and armored targets hit by this attack have their armor plating traits reduced or negated until repaired, and a Pinned target is dragged 10 feet closer.

Warpfire Cannon. Ranged Attack: +8 to hit, range 80/240 ft., one target. Hit: 3d8 + 4 fire damage, and the target makes a Willpower Save DC 16 or becomes Frightened until the end of its next turn. The fire burns morale as readily as flesh.

Pounce Through Cover. The engine charges up to its full Movement through walls, barricades, and cover, destroying light cover in its path, and makes one Rending Maw attack against the target it has chosen.

// Reactions

Snap of the Jaws. When a bloodied creature within 10 feet moves or stands, the engine makes one Rending Maw attack against it.

Morale: Does not make Morale checks (daemonic hunger). It fights until banished; withdrawal happens only if its binder drags the leash.

Tactics: Run it as a predator, not a tank: it picks the wounded, charges through the terrain rather than around it, and eats the party's assumption that vehicles keep distance. Anti-armor weapons work; so does the binder's leash, if the party finds who holds it. Its wreck is a hazard, not a trophy.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Brass sigil-plates that whisper, a warpfire weapon nobody sane will mount, and the binder's leash-icon, which is worth more to the wrong people.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A Lesser Daemon Engine is a war machine with a daemon where the machine spirit should be — a small armored predator that hungers, hates, and hunts. It is a vehicle only in the sense that a wolf is a quadruped.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy as armored shock for Chaos forces: a fast horror that opens armor, breaks lines, and frightens veterans who thought they understood vehicles.

// Threat Profile

Threat Profile: Heavy corrupted armor, savage melee and warp-fouled guns, fear and Corruption pressure, no morale, hunts wounded prey, banished rather than merely wrecked.

// Signature Traits

Daemonic Chassis. No morale; immune to fear and Suppression, and it does not check anything before charging.

Scent of Weakness. Gains movement and attack bonuses against bloodied targets; it always knows who is hurt.

Bound in Brass. Destroying the hull banishes the daemon violently; the wreck site suffers Corruption residue.

// Signature Actions

Rending Maw. Vehicle-scale melee attack that damages armor on any hit and drags Pinned targets closer.

Warpfire Cannon. Ranged attack with fire that burns morale as readily as flesh; failed saves cause Frightened.

Pounce Through Cover. Charges through walls and barricades to reach the target it has chosen.

Morale: None.
