A cult banner-bearer improving morale and fanaticism.
Threat File — Cult Iconward
TR 5 · Genestealer CultsSaves: Willpower +6, Toughness +4
Proficiencies: Command +5
Sacred Standard. Cult allies within 30 feet gain +1 to Willpower Saves and do not make Morale checks while the Iconward and its icon stand.
The Icon Must Not Fall. When the Iconward dies, a cult ally within 10 feet may spend its reaction to take up the banner, becoming a new Iconward whose Sacred Standard grants only the +1 to Willpower Saves.
Raise the Image. Once per scene, the Iconward lifts the wrought image high: all cult allies within 30 feet immediately end the Pinned and Suppressed conditions and any fear effects on them.
Autopistol. Ranged Attack: +4 to hit, range 30/90 ft., one target. Hit: 1d6 + 1 ballistic damage. The banner is the real weapon; the pistol is a formality.
Morale: Utterly fanatical; it will die holding the icon upright and considers that a victory.
Tactics: Place it at the heart of the cult formation, behind bodies and cover, and let its aura make every Suppression attempt underperform. Teach the party to prioritize it — then make that shot expensive. When the icon finally falls, make the collapse in cult morale immediate and dramatic.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The icon itself: a genealogy of the infection worked in brass and bone, worth more to an interrogator than any prisoner.
