C'tan Shard, Minor
A lesser shard that should be treated as an objective encounter.
Threat File — C'tan Shard, Minor
TR 17 · C'tan ShardsSaves: Toughness +13, Willpower +13
Senses: Perceives all creatures and objects within 120 feet regardless of light, cover, or concealment
Fragment of Godhood. The shard is immune to fear, Morale effects, poison, disease, and mundane restraint, and takes half damage from ballistic and las attacks. Small-arms fire is weather to it.
Local Distortion. At the start of each round, one battlefield rule within 60 feet of the shard misbehaves at GM discretion: light dims or inverts, gravity lightens or crushes, temperature spikes, or distances stretch.
Cannot Truly Die. Reduced to 0 Vitality, the shard disperses and reforms elsewhere within days. Permanent defeat requires binding, banishing, or containing it during the encounter - restoring a containment lattice, baiting it into a null-cage, or completing the evacuation before it finishes feeding.
Star-Hunger Grasp. Melee Attack: +12 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 4d10 + 6 energy damage as warmth, light, and vitality drain out together, and the shard regains Vitality equal to half the damage dealt.
Reality Lash. Ranged Attack: +12 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. Hit: 3d10 + 6 warp damage, and the target is hurled 20 feet as space folds wrong; Toughness Save DC 19 or land Prone.
Shed Physics. Once per scene, when the shard is hit by an attack or caught in an effect, it ignores that attack or effect entirely by declining to be where causality expected.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks. It has no fear, only appetite, instability, and the pull of whatever binding or prize drew it here.
Tactics: Build the encounter around a defeat condition that is not Vitality: a lattice to restore, a null-cage to bait it into, an evacuation to finish. Its attacks should teach respect in one hit, and Local Distortion should make the map itself untrustworthy. Fighting it directly buys time; it does not buy victory.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Necrodermis residue and fragments of its bindings are worth a Mechanicus ransom - and attract everyone who knows what they are.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Minor C'tan Shard is the smallest divisible unit of a dead god, which is still a piece of a god. It has no strategy, only appetite and physics that bend around its moods.
Use this threat as the party's first C'tan encounter — an objective-based introduction to fighting something that cannot be fought, only managed.
Boss-grade durability, armor-ignoring energy attacks, localized reality distortion, objective-based defeat, containment or banishment required for lasting victory.

Star-Hunger Grasp. Melee touch that ignores armor and drains warmth, light, and Vitality together.
Reality Lash. Ranged distortion strike that damages and hurls the target as space folds wrong.
Shed Physics. Once per scene, ignores one attack, wall, or effect entirely by declining to be where causality expected.
Morale: No morale; only appetite, instability, and the pull of whatever binding or prize drew it here.
Tactics: Build the encounter around a defeat condition that is not Vitality: a containment lattice to restore, a lure to bait it into a null-cage, or an evacuation to complete before it finishes feeding. Its attacks should make the party respect it in one hit, and the distortion aura should make the map itself untrustworthy. Fighting it directly buys time; it does not buy victory.
