// Traits

Rapture Surge. For the first two rounds of combat the assassin has doubled Movement, +2 initiative, and makes one extra attack on its turn. Afterward comes the crash: -2 to all rolls and Defense for the rest of the scene.

Glanded Cocktails. A creature hit by the assassin's blades makes a Toughness Save DC 13 or has Disadvantage on its next attack and cannot use reactions until the end of its next turn; the party's fastest member gets slower.

Feels Everything, Fears Nothing. The assassin is immune to fear and pain penalties; the chems have opinions about dying and they are positive.

// Actions

Ecstatic Lunge. The assassin moves up to its full Movement, then: Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2d6 + 4 piercing damage plus its toxin. The attack has Advantage against a target that has not yet acted this combat.

Needle Kiss. Melee Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d8 + 4 piercing damage, and the target makes a Toughness Save DC 13 or is Pinned by its own locking muscles until the end of its next turn.

One Last Beautiful Thing. Once, during the crash, the assassin may burn what remains: it regains its Rapture Surge benefits for one round, then drops to 0 Vitality at the end of that round.

Morale: No retreat during the surge; during the crash it flees, surrenders euphorically, or spends itself on one more attempt — the drugs decide.

Tactics: Open the encounter with it already in motion — its value is the first ninety seconds, and its target was chosen in advance: psyker, medic, or leader. The party's problem is surviving the burst; their reward is the crash, when it becomes almost pitiable.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: A gland-harness of unspent cocktails worth a fortune to the right buyer and lethal to the unaugmented.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

The Chem-Rapture Assassin is a drugged killer built for one ecstatic burst — glanded compounds that compress a duelist's career into ninety seconds. It arrives at impossible speed, kills, and rides the crash wherever it lands.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy as a decapitation strike against the party: one target, one window, one chemically perfect attempt.

// Threat Profile

Low durability, extreme burst speed and damage, poisoned weapons, front-loaded threat that degrades sharply — survive the burst and the fight inverts.

// Signature Traits

Rapture Surge. For the first two rounds of combat it has doubled Movement, +2 initiative, and an extra attack; afterward, the crash: -2 to everything.

Glanded Cocktails. Its blades carry toxins that impose Disadvantage and slow reactions; the party's fastest member gets slower.

Feels Everything, Fears Nothing. Immune to fear and pain penalties; the chems have opinions about dying and they are positive.

// Signature Actions

Ecstatic Lunge. Full-speed attack from outside expected range, with Advantage against targets that have not yet acted.

Needle Kiss. Precise strike with a heavy toxin payload; a hit target saves or is Pinned by their own locking muscles.

One Last Beautiful Thing. During the crash, may burn its remaining vitality for one final surge round, then collapses.

Morale: No retreat during the surge; during the crash it flees, surrenders euphorically, or spends itself on one more attempt — the drugs decide.

Tactics: Open the encounter with it already in motion — its value is the first ninety seconds and the target is chosen in advance: psyker, medic, or leader. The party's problem is surviving the burst; their reward is the crash, when it becomes almost pitiable. Guard the table against feeling cheated: telegraph the speed, then honor the collapse.
