// Traits

Sentinel Protocols. The doomstalker automatically targets the largest, loudest, or most recently firing threat — predictable, exploitable, merciless. A creature may attempt a Tech check DC 15 while adjacent to its legs to feed it a false priority, redirecting its next cannon shot.

Towering Chassis. The doomstalker fires over most cover and intervening troops. Light Cover grants no Defense against its cannon.

Slow Traverse. The doomsday cannon cannot target creatures adjacent to the doomstalker's legs; close assault is the intended counterplay.

// Actions

Doomsday Blast. A gathering whine, a target lock, then annihilation. Every creature in a 15-foot-radius zone within 300 feet makes an Agility Save DC 16, taking 6d10 energy damage and being knocked Prone on a failure, or half damage on a success. Cover in the zone is destroyed. The cannon must then cycle: it cannot fire again until the end of the doomstalker's next turn.

Twin Gauss Sponsons. The doomstalker makes two attacks against closer threats. Ranged Attack: +8 to hit, range 60/180 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 3 energy damage.

Stalking Reposition. The doomstalker strides up to its full speed to a new overwatch position, stepping over terrain, wrecks, and barricades that would stop a vehicle, then may fire its sponsons.

// Reactions

Threat Re-Prioritization. When a new enemy deals damage to the doomstalker, it acquires target lock: its next Doomsday Blast centers on that enemy's position.

Morale: Does not make Morale checks. It holds its watch until destroyed, and its wreck still blocks the pass it guarded.

Tactics: Telegraph the cannon: a gathering whine, a target lock, a zone the party must vacate. The encounter is movement under a metronome — cover-to-cover sprints between blasts, closing to the dead zone at its feet. Screen it with scarabs or warriors so the approach is never free.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: The doomsday cannon's containment core survives the wreck; whoever hauls it home owns either a siege weapon or a crater, and will not know which in advance.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

A Canoptek Doomstalker-Type is a walking siege gun on stilt-legs, a tomb sentry that answers movement with a doomsday cannon shot that predates mercy. It guards approaches the dynasty has decided no one crosses.

// Battlefield Use

Use this enemy as a set-piece gun the party must approach, flank, or disable — a moving fortress problem with a countdown per shot.

// Threat Profile

Very high durability, devastating long-range cannon, tall sightlines over cover, sentry protocols, slow traverse the party can exploit, no morale.

Twin Gauss Sponsons. Secondary anti-infantry fire against closer threats.

Stalking Reposition. Strides to a new overwatch position, stepping over terrain that stops vehicles.

Morale: None; it holds its watch until destroyed, and its wreck still blocks the pass it guarded.
