Threat File — Blight Launcher Marine
TR 10 · Traitor AstartesSaves: Toughness +9, Willpower +6
Disgustingly Resilient. Whenever the blight launcher marine takes damage, reduce that damage by 3 (minimum 1). He is immune to poison and disease.
Corrosive Payload. Cover struck by his blight launcher is degraded; a second hit destroys it entirely.
Unhurried Gunner. The marine cannot be Pinned or Suppressed, and being bloodied, threatened, or under fire imposes no penalty on his attacks.
Blight Launcher. The marine fires an arcing shell at a point within 120 feet. Creatures within 10 feet of the point make an Agility Save DC 15, taking 3d8 poison damage on a failure or half on a success. A creature that fails also makes a Toughness Save DC 15 or sickens, taking 1d4 poison damage at the start of each of its turns until it succeeds a Toughness Save DC 15 at the end of one of its turns.
Seed the Ground. The marine fires at terrain instead of targets: a 15-foot zone within 120 feet becomes toxic ground for the rest of the scene. Creatures that end their turn in the zone take 1d6 toxic damage.
Point-Blank Rot. The marine discharges the launcher at his own feet, trusting his hide to take it. Every other creature within 10 feet makes an Agility Save DC 15, taking 3d8 poison damage on a failure or half on a success; the marine is unaffected.
Shell for the Bold. When an enemy within 30 feet leaves cover, the marine may fire a snap shell: that creature makes an Agility Save DC 15 or takes 2d8 poison damage.
Morale: Does not make Morale checks; he fires his allotted shells and dies content wherever he happens to be standing.
Tactics: Do not aim at the party — aim at where the party will want to be. Contaminate their cover, their fallback line, and their objective in that order, and let plague marines herd them across the ruined ground. He is slow and valuable; screen him.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: A rack of blight shells that quartermasters will pay to see destroyed, and launcher components fused with something that is still growing.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceA Blight Launcher Marine is a plague heavy-weapon platform with legs, lobbing corrosive ordnance that ruins cover, flesh, and the ground itself. Where he fires, the map gets smaller.
Use this enemy to deny terrain — when you want the party's cover, corridors, and fallback routes turning toxic one shot at a time.
Very high durability, area-denial ordnance, poison and disease pressure, terrain contamination, immune to suppression, slow.

Seed the Ground. Fires at terrain instead of targets, turning a zone into toxic ground for the rest of the scene.
Point-Blank Rot. Discharges the launcher into melee at his own feet, trusting his hide to take it.
Morale: Does not check morale; he fires his allotted shells and dies content wherever he happens to be standing.
Tactics: Do not aim at the party — aim at where the party will want to be. Contaminate their cover, their fallback line, and their objective in that order, and let plague marines herd them across the ruined ground. He is slow and valuable; screen him.
