Threat File — Aeldari Dire Avenger-Type
TR 6 · AeldariSaves: Agility +7, Willpower +5
Proficiencies: Awareness +6, Fieldcraft +5
Aspect of Vengeance. The dire avenger has Advantage on saves against fear and does not make Morale checks while its exarch stands.
Avenger Fire Discipline. The dire avenger's Reactive Fire does not suffer Disadvantage against targets crossing its lane.
Avenger Shuriken Catapult. Ranged Attack: +6 to hit, range 80/240 ft., one target. Hit: 2d8 + 3 slashing damage. Against an Exposed target, the attack deals an extra 1d8 damage.
Bladestorm. Once per scene, the dire avenger saturates a 15-foot zone within 80 feet. Creatures in the zone make an Agility Save DC 13, taking 2d8 + 3 slashing damage and becoming Pinned until the end of their next turn on a failure, or half damage on a success.
Defense Tactics. When a creature ends its movement adjacent to the dire avenger, the avenger braces and makes one shuriken catapult attack against it before any melee attack resolves.
Morale: Holds with shrine discipline while the exarch lives; withdraws in perfect order — never a rout — when the seer's plan requires it.
Tactics: Anchor them where the catapults cover the objective and let Reactive Fire tax every crossing. This is the Aeldari line that does not evaporate when charged — Bladestorm is the surprise for parties who assume it will. Kill the exarch to make them merely excellent.
Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Aspect armor is keyed to its shrine and dies with its wearer, but the spirit stone within is intact, priceless, and very much missed.
Enemy Dossier
GM ReferenceAn Aeldari Dire Avenger-Type is an Aspect Warrior of the shrine of vengeance — disciplined mid-range volleys delivered with ritual precision and zero wasted motion. It is what Guardian fire discipline aspires to and cannot reach.
Use this enemy when Aeldari need a mid-range firing line that holds, punishes, and counter-charges instead of merely screening.

Morale: Holds with shrine discipline while the exarch lives; withdraws in perfect order — never rout — when the seer's plan requires it.
Tactics: Anchor them where their catapults cover the objective and let their Reactive Fire punish every crossing. They are the Aeldari unit that does not evaporate when charged — Bladestorm is the surprise for parties who assume all xenos lines break. Kill the exarch to make them merely excellent.
