// Traits

Incarnate Wrath. The Avatar does not make Morale checks and is immune to fear, Suppression, and fire damage. Aeldari who can see it stop making Morale and withdrawal checks — the whole host fights like Khaine is watching, because he is.

Molten Body. A creature that starts its turn within 5 feet of the Avatar, or that grapples or is grappled by it, takes 2d6 fire damage. Melee is a negotiation with a furnace.

Terror of the God. An enemy that begins its turn within 60 feet of the Avatar makes a Willpower Save DC 19 or is Frightened until the end of its next turn; a failure by 5 or more also leaves it Pinned.

The Doom That Walks. The Avatar cannot be permanently slain here. At 0 Vitality it is banished back to the shattered throne, not killed. Structure the encounter around objectives — sever the summoning, survive its span, evacuate before it closes — rather than a Vitality race.

// Actions

Multiattack. The Avatar attacks twice with the Wailing Doom, as blade, as beam, or both.

The Wailing Doom. As a blade — Melee Attack: +13 to hit, reach 15 ft., one target. Hit: 5d10 + 8 fire damage. As a beam — a searing 60-foot line; each creature in it makes an Agility Save DC 20, taking 6d10 fire damage on a failure or half on a success. Both modes ignore Defense bonuses from cover.

Stride of Ruin. The Avatar moves up to twice its Movement in burning steps. Each creature within 5 feet of its path makes an Agility Save DC 20 or takes 3d10 fire damage, and the ground it crossed burns until the end of the scene.

Khaine's Bellow. Once per scene, a battlefield-wide war-shout: every enemy on the field immediately makes a Morale check or Willpower Save DC 19, becoming Frightened until the end of its next turn on a failure, while every Aeldari recovers from Pinned, Suppressed, and Frightened. The encounter changes phase.

// Reactions

Wrath Answered. When a creature within reach hits the Avatar with a melee attack, molten ichor sprays from the wound: the attacker takes 2d6 fire damage.

Morale: Does not make Morale checks. It burns until banished, its purpose complete, or nothing remains standing that Khaine would deign to kill.

Tactics: Structure this as an event with phases, not a fight: its waking, its walk, its wrath. The party's real objectives are elsewhere — the extraction, the artifact, the countdown — while the Avatar redefines which parts of the map exist. Direct engagement should require war-engine-grade support and still feel like borrowing time from a god's patience.

Loot / Evidence / Hooks: Where it fell, cooling shards of god-iron scream psychically for centuries — priceless forge material whose claiming earns a craftworld's undying enmity.

Enemy Dossier

GM Reference

An Aeldari Avatar-Type War Incarnation is a walking fragment of a war god — molten iron, burning wrath, and the woken fury of an entire craftworld given a body. It is not a unit in the Aeldari host; it is the reason the host stops retreating.

// Battlefield Use

Use this threat as a campaign-level boss and objective encounter: the moment an Aeldari conflict stops being about maneuver and becomes about survival.

// Threat Profile

Threat Profile: Boss-grade — extreme durability, molten aura, war-god melee, battlefield-wide fear and morale effects, immune to flame and terror, transforms all nearby Aeldari morale; fight it with objectives, distance, and overwhelming force, not bravery.

// Signature Traits

Incarnate Wrath. No morale; immune to fear, flame, and Suppression. Aeldari within sight of it stop making withdrawal checks — the whole host fights like Khaine is watching, because he is.

Molten Body. Adjacent creatures take heat damage each round; melee is a negotiation with a furnace.

Terror of the God. Enemies beginning their turn within 60 feet save on Willpower or are Frightened; failures by 5+ are also Pinned.

The Doom That Walks. It cannot be permanently slain here — only banished back to the shattered throne. Encounter notes: give the party an objective (sever the summoning, survive its span, evacuate before it closes) rather than a Vitality race.

// Signature Actions

The Wailing Doom. A god's weapon as blade or as searing beam; either mode deals catastrophic damage and ignores cover quality.

Stride of Ruin. Crosses the field in burning steps; everything along the path saves against heat and terror.

Khaine's Bellow. Battlefield-wide war-shout: every enemy checks Morale, every Aeldari rallies, and the encounter changes phase.

Morale: None. It burns until banished, its purpose complete, or nothing remains standing that Khaine would deign to kill.

Tactics: Structure this as an event with phases, not a fight: its waking, its walk, its wrath. The party's real objectives are elsewhere — the extraction, the artifact, the countdown — while the Avatar redefines what parts of the map exist. Direct engagement should require war-engine-grade support and still feel like borrowing time from a god's patience.
